Lyons Stonework was selected to undertake the intricate restoration and repair works on the Lloyds Bank façade (Blackpool). This project capitalized on our extensive heritage restoration experience and the specialist skills of our masons, all of whom hold CSCS Gold Cards in heritage restoration, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and historical accuracy.
The restoration process involved several critical steps. Initially, former plastic repairs were meticulously removed, followed by the careful cutting out of heavily decayed masonry. For sections of the facade that remained structurally sound, we employed Lithomex to restore and replicate the original detailing. This technique was essential for maintaining the historical integrity of the building.
