The project began with significant structural repairs to the listed stone building, addressing foundational issues and restoring its integrity. This included the careful stripping of the roof, allowing us to access and repair the underlying structures. New masonry was produced in-house to match the original stonework, ensuring a seamless integration with the existing architecture.

Our work also extended to the creation of external garden walls, entrance piers, and signage, which were designed to complement the historic character of the site. A feature well was constructed as part of the landscaping, adding both functionality and aesthetic appeal to the garden area.

For cleaning and preservation, we utilized the DOFF cleaning system, employing specialist breathable chemicals to remove dirt and stains while sealing the stone to protect it from future damage. This process was crucial for maintaining the building’s appearance and longevity.

In addition to restoration, we templated, produced, and site-fixed replacement stonework for the original house, using lime pointing to ensure the mortar matched the historical context. Brick and stonework were also carried out for a new build house and garages, integrating modern functionality with traditional design elements.

To address structural stability, we implemented crack stitching techniques and performed underpinning where necessary, reinforcing the building’s foundation and ensuring its durability for future generations.
